About three weeks ago, Oprah Winfrey adopted Sadie, an 8-week old female Cocker Spaniel puppy, from PAWS Chicago, an animal shelter. Sadie had some litter mates, and Ms. Winfrey ended up adopting a male puppy, naming him Ivan.
