Macaques in Lopburi, Thailand, have been observed flossing their teeth using human hair that is plucked from visitors to a nearby Buddhist shrine. They also use coconut fibers. Japanese researchers studying the behavior have observed that monkeys with infants will spend twice as long flossing when their babies are watching.
